Shiraz Boghani: The Hotelier, Philanthropist, And Sussex Healthcare Founding Partner

Shiraz Boghani is the Managing Partner of Sussex Healthcare and a Founding Partner and Chairman of Sojourn Hotels. In addition to this, he is also the Director and Managing Partner of Splendid Hospitality.

Apart from being part of the management of these two hotels, Shiraz Boghani also owns and manages 19 other trading hotels in Britain. In addition to this, he was one of the founders of the branded hotels limited service in London during the 1990’s. Mr. Boghani has been working in the hotel industry for approximately 30 years. His passion in this industry has not been in vain since he has managed to clinch several awards. One of these awards is the Asian Business Awards, Hotelier of the Year which he managed to clinch in 2016. The entrepreneur was elated during the ceremony and his speech revealed that Mr.Bhogani was pleased to be among the staff of Splendid Hospitality Group. He also thanked the entire management and all the employees in general.

Shiraz Boghani was on the forefront of establishing the Conrad London St. James and the Hilton London Bankside which is worth 121 million pounds. Other hotels that he is involved with include The Grand Hotel and Spa, Wembley’s Holiday Inn in London, and York among others. He recently acquired Mercure Bristol Brigstow Hotel and New Ellington which is situated in Leeds.

Shiraz Boghani has also managed to transform the Sussex Healthcare Limited immensely under his role of Managing Partner. Sussex Healthcare Centre provides care and support for the physically challenged, mentally challenged and the elderly. The care center has various centers all over Sussex in Southern England where they provide the home-based care and services. These services are customized to suit the individual’s needs. They include medical care, physical support, social support, recreational facilities, nutrition, and leisure. Mr. Boghani has managed to enable the care center to accommodate more than 500 beds in their 18 care homes.

Apart from his work in the hotel and hospitality industry and Sussex Healthcare centre, Shiraz Bhogani is also an ardent philanthropist. Mr. Bhogani manages to equally distribute his resources and time to various charity based institutions. Some of these institutions include Aga Khan University’s National Council Arbitration Board and Resource Development Convener and the National Conciliation. He also avidly supports the worldwide network of Aga Khan Development and UK’s Aga Khan Foundation.

The hotelier is also a Fellow of England’s and Wales’s Institute of Chartered Accounts. In 1969, Shiraz Bhogani relocated to the UK in a bid to further his accounting career. He first worked with KPMG.
