Very few people wanted to learn about Hamilton, and he was mostly remembered as a founding father that never became President. Lin-Manuel Miranda changed Hamilton forever last year, when he released his amazing play Hamilton. Hamilton has changed the world. The Broadway production is constantly sold out, and the soundtrack has become a bestseller. American has fallen in love with Hamilton, but now several actors are starting to leave the play for new projects. Recently, the actor that played Aaron Burr left the play. Hamilton has gone on with understudies playing the role of Aaron Burr, but now the play has found a new star.
Broadway.com is reporting that Hamilton has found their Aaron Burr. Brandon Victor Dixon will take on the role of Aaron Burr. Brandon Victor Dixon is an extremely well-respected actor throughout the Broadway community. He has been nominated for Tony awards twice. The cast of Hamilton is excited to add Dixon to the cast and he will take on the role on August 23rd. Brandon is taking over for Leslie Odom Jr., who left on July 9th.
Dixon is considered an up-and-comer within the Broadway world. Last season, Dixon received a Tony nomination for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his role in Shuffle Along. Dixon has also appeared in The Color Purple, and he received a nomination for his role in that play. Dixon’s other stage credits include The Scottsboro Boys and Motown:the Musical. Brandon Victor Dixon has done an excellent job in every role, and he is looking forward to appearing in Hamilton.
Hamilton is an incredible play that is changing the way people think about history. Millions of people are searching for tickets to see the show, and some were uneasy once they realized that the cast was starting to change.
