At the head of the team is Rick Shinto, President and CEO. He previously worked at Aveta Inc. and NAMM California. He has over 20 years of experience at operating healthcare management. He is also the author of many articles on healthcare and medicine. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of California and received his medical degree from the State University of New York. Rick Shinto also received a M.B.A. from the University of Redlands.
Penelope Kokkinides, one of the newer additions, is InnovaCare Health’s Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). Prior to this position, she served as COO at InnovaCare, Inc. and Aveta, Inc. She also has over 20 years of experience in the field, specializing in government programs. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from Binghamton University and her master’s from New York University. She received a post-master’s degree from Columbia University.
Recently, InnovaCare Health began its participation with the help of Rick Shinto in the Health Care Payment Learning and Action Network (LAN). LAN is a partnership whose aim is to move the United States health system toward payment models that are based on quality, instead of quantity. They wish to quicken the transition to different payment models and alongside LAN, InnovaCare Health has created goals in support of this reform.
