While being naked anywhere the Republican Presidential candidate Donald J. Trump will be sounds like an altogether scary thought, one artist has found a way to turn your nudity into amazing pieces of activist art. Photographer and artist Spencer Tunick is on the hunt for at least one hundred women to pose nude for a July 17th photo shoot – at the Republican National Convention.
Spencer Tunick has become well-known for turning a sea of nudity into an emotional statement piece. Since the ’90s, Tunick has been the creator of several pieces of art and photo shoots all over the world. In total, there have been more than seventy different shoots organized by Tunick. As the artist describes his pieces, “individuals en masse, without their clothing, grouped together, metamorphose into a new shape.“
This latest piece is entitled ‘Everything She Says Means Everything’ and will feature 100 naked women holding up large mirror discs. The statement the artist and activists will be making is that the mirrors represent “reflecting the knowledge and wisdom of progressive women and the concept of ‘Mother Nature'” onto the right-wing Republican convention.
While one of the most creative displays of activism taking place in July, this is by far not the only peaceful demonstration to take place in our nation’s capital. The always excited Berniecrats are poised to send more than two million demonstrators to protest the rigged Democratic Party primary elections.
It should be strongly noted that both groups are there as peaceful activists.
