About Gregory James Aziz and National Steel Car

Gregory James Aziz is the President, CEO and the Chairman of the National steel car which is at the forefront in railroad freight car manufacturing and engineering companies in the world and is located in Hamilton Ontario.

He was born in Ontario on 30th April 1949 Greg and went to Ridley College, and then he majored in economics at University of Western Ontario.


Through joining his family in the wholesale food business, and Affiliated Foods in 1971, the firm grew for 16 years to become a global importer of fresh foods from Europe, Central America and South America with major distribution to all the main fresh food wholesale markets in Eastern Canada and the United states.

After working on various investment banking opportunities in New York back in the early 1990s and late 1980s, Mr. Greg was then able to organize the buying of National Steel Car from Dofasco in 1994, with a sole aim of changing this once great company of Canada into a leading railroad freight vehicle manufacturer in North America.

Emphasizing the strong engineering capabilities of National steel cars, the firm grew its manufacturing capability from about 3500 cars per year at the purchasing time to 12000 cars by the year of 1999. The people who were employed there grew in the same time from almost 600 to approximately 3000.

Currently, thanks to the relentless pursuit of manufacturing and engineering excellence, National steel cars are in the forefront in the industry in new automobile innovation while still building hundreds of new railroad freight automobile in each year.


The National Steel car is the only railroad freight automobile, manufacturing, and engineering company that is certified ISO 9001:2008 in North America. The company has held this honor kind for the past 18 years through various rounds of recertification. The firm has also been highly honored consistently with the TTX SECO greatest quality award since 1996.

The national steel car is highly committed to the Hamilton community and is known to have sponsored Theatre Aquarius, the Salvation Army, the united way, the Hamilton opera and various other local charities. Some employees, both present, and the past, together with their children go to the National Steel Car Christmas Party every year and take part in the major food drive for the local food banks of the company.

The Role of Sertoes the Event

Michel Terpin rose from a poor competitor in the motor cycle category at the Sertoes Annual Championship to one of the most famous rally driver in Brazil. Since this debut in 2002, he has worked hard building his profile as a career rally driver in the cross country rally championship. Talking about his career path, he mostly recognizes the role of the Sertoes Annual Competition to his astounding career. As the largest off-road event, the approximately 3300 kilometers stretch has almost impossible curves, dangerous ranges but still, it attracted many professional drivers. Among them, Michel Terpin competed for more than thrice before becoming the winner in the 22nd edition of the event. His tenacity also enabled him to win the same championship in the following the 2006 competition. Out of the 25 editions that the Sertoes Cross Country Championship held, he has participated in 11 of them making him a famous rally driver in the event.

Still, in his path to stardom, Michel adversely mentions his brother Rodrigo Terpin having contributed immensely to his success. It is through his brother’s constant appeal that he landed his first stint in the T1 vehicle category as a junior driver. The sudden switch from motorcycle to cars was highly motivated by his brother who he later joined to form the Bull Sertoes Rally Team in 2004. Together with him, they formed a duo that proved industrious as they also brought the annual event to life through their constant participation.

Maykel Justo’s Experience

Additionally, Michel has also relied on Maykel Justo, who is an experienced navigator in the Brazilian Cross Country championship. With his vast experience in handling the T-Rex version of their car, he has commanded a lot of respect with the MEM who are the manufacturers of the T-Rex. In this regard, Michel Terpin convinced Michel of the power that the car had in encountering the hilly and mountainous regions that they encountered through their cross country rallies. Since they adopted it, Michel has enjoyed working with the car which he also attests to have contributed much in steering to him to his dazzling performances.


Rodrigo Terpins Among the Top Bull Sertoes Rally Team driver

Rodrigo Terpins is among the famous Brazilian rally members and experienced drivers of the Bull Sertoes Rally Team. Just like his brother Michael Terpins, Rodrigo holds a reputable record of victories and several participations in Brazilian championships. Rodrigo particularly competes in the category of T1 prototype. During the 22nd edition, the rally team realized tremendous success against other competitors.

The 22nd edition was impressive and turned a success for the Bull Sertoes Rally Team. In particular, Rodrigo Terpins managed to take the third place in T1 prototype category and took the eighth place in the overall ranking. The edition was relatively shorter compared to the past, and only two states managed to pass; Goias and Minas Gerais.

According to Rodrigo Terpins, the result of the rally exceeded his expectations and was overwhelming. Further, their partnership with Fabricio was resourceful. In general, the team performed well and managed to do an exemplary job with their competitive car. Rodrigo Terpins drove car #326, which was primarily equipped with a navigator Bianchini, a debutant in the category of cars. Eleven other motorcycles were also enlisted to take part.

Rodrigo has made several appearances in rally driving, even then he has always been featured in the category of cars because it has been his debut aboard a T-Rex. Besides, Michael Terpins and Justo managed to secure the fifth place in the overall ranking during the 24th edition of Bull Sertoes Rally Team. Although this edition was exceptionally difficult and exhausting to the participants particularly the harsh terrain coupled with mountains, they managed to get such motivating results.
